Here's the view down from the long drop:
Some more lovely scenery of where we tramped up to go leave our first climb:
a view across the countryside towards civilisation...
...and a view across the moors looking the other way. At the night club the night before we heard tails aplenty of a great "beast" who be wandering over the moors late at night from the local teenagers:
Abseiling was part of our second climb on "Hen Cloud". I was obviously as hard as nails doing it, showing no fear:
Here I am making sure the Richard wouldn't hurt himself if he fell:
It was rather amusing when James (who went last) started his abseil and his legs slipped out from underneath right at the top right as he started his decent. Needless to say he earned the nick-name "brown-trou" after that.
Here's Richard looking like an all conquering mountaineer...
...when in fact he was stuck on the wall and warming his poor cold fingers up under his armpits before crying to the instructor to let him back down :-)
It was a great weekend, cool to get outa London for some fresh air and to experience not having black snot for a change. Lovely.
