Now, I think the bombings in Spain were not cool, I would've preferred that it didn't happen and I've been looking at a few comments on the BBC site from people about how they now feel about security on the tube.
Personally, I don't give a shiit about terrorists. I'm far more likely to die of second hand smoking or binge drinking than a terrorist bomb.
Anyway, here is a quote from someone who lives in Spain:
I now live in Spain, and although I have always been security conscious, the attacks on Madrid have left us all feeling much less secure. Plain clothes police patrols may help - but it is very difficult to spot a terrorist, and these people are very determined. Our best hope is intelligence. In Spain, we all carry identity cards, and it’s a great help.
Now call me an inconsiderate wank, but how exactly did carrying ID cards in Spain stop the bombing in Madrid? Oh, that's right, it didn't.
