Eat your heart out Dad! ;-)
I went to the Oyster Festival with Crazy, Psycho Richard, Cullen, Hannah and Sharon:
Basically it was a long weekend of drinking Guinness and eating ourselves silly, starting off with me making friends with sleepy strangers on the train there (Crazy took this photo with my phone):
There isn't that much to do in Galway, it's a nice enough city, but bugger all to see. Here's the main street:
And out by the sea:
Yes, it was fun running through the swans. And that was basically all we found to look at in Galway! We did crash a wedding at the Cathedral though...
Most of my photos are basically of us all going hard at the pubs:
There where some kick ass pubs in Galway, in fact there was at least 2 pubs per road, from my counting. We had a great time at one which played Irish folk music and had Irish dancing (the whole stage raised up for the dancing):
Oh yeah, and here is:
NEVER BEFORE SEEN FOOTAGE OF CRAZY AND RICHARD BOTH SCORING CHICKS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!
There is hope for all of us. No, of course they didn't get laid.
And that was pretty much Galway. We went so hard that even the hardest of us went soft:
Other amusement we found was at a Chinese take-away (back in Dublin actually). This is what they have sitting out in the waiting room to stand on:
Not even crazy John would lick that plug for £10. I really like that as they've blown each plug socket on the power strip they've moved the heater plug to the next one along, so as to no waste money buying another 4-way I imagine. Yes it was all turned on (you can just see the glowing red light).
Would I recommend making the trek to the Galway Oyster Festival? Why yes, yes I would.
